Résumé
This image shows the structure supporting the solar panels feeding the GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) NATT receiver of the Résif-Rénag network, and the 3G modem allowing transmissions, as well as the mast supporting the GNSS antenna. The 2 electrical boxes contain one the battery pack (2x24V: 4 batteries 12V 60 Ah), the other, the receiver and the modem. This station was deployed during 2016 on land overlooking the Rhône and belonging to the municipality of Parves-et-Nattages (Ain), at an altitude of 381m. This new station is part of the Résif-Rénag network, composed for the northern part of the French Alps of about twenty permanent GPS stations allowing the precise study (measurement of annual displacement speeds in the order of mm) of the deformation of the FrenchAlps, and more locally, to study the faults of the region (mainly the Cat Fault and the Vuache Fault).
This observation site is part of the French seismological and geodetic network Résif, a national research infrastructure dedicated to the observation and understanding of the structure and dynamics of the Internal Earth. Résif is based on high-tech observation networks, composed of seismological, geodetic and gravimetric instruments deployed in a dense manner throughout France. The data collected make it possible to study with high spatial and temporal resolution the deformation of the ground, surface and deep structures, seismicity on a local and global scale and natural hazards, and more particularly seismic events, on French territory. Résif is part of the European (EPOS - European Plate Observing System) and global systems of instruments used to image the Earth's interior as a whole and to study many natural phenomena.
Cette image représente la structure portant les panneaux solaires alimentant le récepteur GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) NATT du réseau Résif-Rénag, et le modem 3G permettant les transmissions, ainsi que le mat portant l'antenne de la station GNSS. Les 2 boitiers électriques contiennent, l'un le pack de batteries (2x24V: 4 batteries 12V 60 Ah), l'autre, le récepteur et le modem. Cette station a été déployée durant l'année 2016 sur un terrain dominant le Rhône et appartenant à la commune de Parves-et-Nattages (Ain), à une altitude de 381m. Cette nouvelle station vient s'ajouter au réseau du Résif-Rénag, composé pour la partie nord des Alpes françaises d’une vingtaine de stations GPS permanentes permettant l’étude avec précision (mesure de vitesses annuelles de déplacement de l’ordre du mm) de la déformation des Alpes, et plus localement, d'étudier les failles de la région (Faille du Chat et faille du Vuache principalement).
Ce site d'observation est intégré au Réseau sismologique et géodésique français Résif, une infrastructure de recherche nationale dédiée à l’observation et la compréhension de la structure et de la dynamique Terre interne. Résif se base sur des réseaux d’observation de haut niveau technologique, composés d’instruments sismologiques, géodésiques et gravimétriques déployés de manière dense sur tout le territoire français. Les données recueillies permettent d’étudier avec une haute résolution spatio-temporelle la déformation du sol, les structures superficielles et profondes, la sismicité à l’échelle locale et globale et les aléas naturels, et plus particulièrement sismiques, sur le territoire français. Résif s’intègre aux dispositifs européens (EPOS - European Plate Observing System) et mondiaux d’instruments permettant d’imager l’intérieur de la Terre dans sa globalité et d’étudier de nombreux phénomènes naturels.
