The twelve Shia Imams are sitting in the foreground, with, in the centre, the first Shia Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib and his double-edged sword, Zulfiqar. In the background, are three portraits : Husayn ibn Abi Ali (left) and his half brother Abbas ibn Ali (right) surrounding Ali ibn Abi Talib. The name of the Prophet Muhammad is mentioned in the vignette on the right and the one on the left is the name of the Prophet’s daughter and Ali’s wife, Fatima Zahra. The arabic sentences at the top are praising the virtues of Ali ibn Abi Talib and Husayn ibn Ali.

À l’arrière-plan se trouvent trois portraits : Husayn ibn Ali (à gauche) et son demi frère Abbas ibn Ali (à droite) entourent Ali ibn Abi Talib. Le nom du prophète Mohammad est écrit dans la vignette située à droite et celle de gauche porte le nom de Fatima Zahra, fille du prophète et épouse d’Ali ibn Abi Talib. Les deux phrases en arabe louent les qualités d’Ali ibn Abi Talib et de Husayn.
