The poetess wears a traditional outfit from the city of Hadhramaut which had to be shorter in the front than in the back so she can show the khalkhal (an ankle bracelet). The surveyor preferred to add some slacks from the city of Ta’izz to the outfit just to avoid any abusive comment. She took the photo from a video recording.
La poétesse porte une tenue traditionnelle de la ville d'Hadramaout qui devait être plus courte à l’avant qu’à l'arrière pour montrer le khalkhal (bracelet de cheville). L’enquêtrice avait préféré ajouté à la tenue un pantalon fabriqué dans la ville de Ta'izz pour éviter les commentaires. La photo est extraite d'un enregistrement vidéo disponible dans le fonds.
