Fonds Fatima Al-Baydani-Alzawiya : Acteurs sur scène lors d'une pièce de théâtre à Sanaa (Yémen), dans le cadre d'un événement organisé par l'enquêtrice
Résumé
A photo of the presentation of the play called “‘ayesmer ma’ak as-siradj”, which means “the lamp will keep you company”. The play is, like the stories of The Thousand and One Nights, a compilation of several short stories about the women’s right to love and how they use their slyness in order to get it. Fatima al-Baydani collected and chose all the stories of the play and transformed them thereafter in a script inspired by the popular stories thanks to many Yemeni specialists: Abdullah Abbas al-Eryani, Samir Abdel Fattah, and Wajdi al-Ahdal. They published then the play as an Arabic-English bilingual edition book. An archives site, interested in the Shakespeare productions, also cited it in a in a scientific post because of the similarity between one of the stories collected by Fatima and some of his plays. The surveyor gathered the story in question in a remote town, away from other civilizations to this day. La photo a été prise pendant la présentation d’une pièce de théâtre intitulée «‘ayesmer ma’ak as-siradj », qui se traduit par "La lampe te tiendra compagnie". La pièce est, à l’image des contes des Mille et Une Nuits, une compilation de plusieurs histoires courtes qui abordent le droit de la femme à l’amour et montrent comment elle utilise la ruse afin d'obtenir ce droit. Toutes les histoires de la pièce sont issues des collectes de terrain de Fatima Al-Baydani-Alzawiya, qu'elle a transformées par la suite en scénario en s'inspirant des contes populaires avec l'aide de plusieurs spécialistes yéménites : Abdullah Abbas al-Eryani, Samir Abdel Fattah, Wajdi al-Ahdal. La pièce a été publiée en livre dans une édition bilingue arabe-anglais "Contes du Yémen : Lit de pierre, lit de verre" (Ecole des Loisirs, 2008).
